On Thursday, 5th February, 2026, our pupils and students stepped into a world of creativity, culture, and innovation at the Lagos Pop-Up Museum—a remarkable educational exhibition organized by Ecobank Nigeria in partnership with Yaba College of Technology (YABATECH)’s Yaba Art Museum. The experience proved to be far more than just an outing; it was a window into the vibrant intersection of art, heritage, and learning that lies beyond our classroom walls.
A Partnership for Youth Development
The Lagos Pop-Up Museum is a temporary exhibition project that brings together education, culture, and creativity in one dynamic space. Through this collaboration between Ecobank Nigeria and YABATECH, young learners across Lagos are being given unprecedented access to enriching cultural experiences that inspire curiosity and broaden horizons.
We are deeply grateful to Ecobank for extending this invitation to Potasfield Schools and for their ongoing commitment to youth development and experiential learning.
A Safe, Well-Organized Learning Experience
A carefully selected group of pupils and students from upper primary and college students, accompanied by our dedicated teachers, participated in this educational excursion. We are pleased to inform parents that transportation, meals, and all logistics were fully provided and expertly coordinated by Ecobank, ensuring a smooth, safe, and thoroughly enjoyable experience for all attendees.
Our teachers maintained close supervision throughout the visit, upholding Potasfield Schools’ highest standards for safety, discipline, and student care at every moment. Parents can rest assured that their children were in excellent hands from departure to return.
Learning Beyond the Classroom
At the Pop-Up Museum, our pupils and students were immersed in:
- Creative artworks and cultural exhibitions showcasing Nigerian and African artistic excellence
- Interactive learning spaces designed to engage young minds
- Thought-provoking conversations around innovation, creativity, and African heritage
- Real-world connections demonstrating how education, art, and technology intersect in meaningful ways
The experience encouraged curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking—core values we nurture at Potasfield Schools. As one basic 6 pupil enthusiastically shared, “I never knew art could tell so many stories about our history and culture. It made me see things differently!”
Another SSS 2 student reflected, “Seeing how artists use their creativity to solve problems and share messages inspired me to think about my own talents in new ways.”
A Memorable and Inspiring Outing
Feedback from our pupils, students, and teachers has been overwhelmingly positive. Many described the outing as educational, inspiring, and genuinely exciting. The visit broadened their understanding of creativity, culture, and innovation while reinforcing important lessons about heritage, expression, and the power of artistic voice.
Beyond the exhibits themselves, students appreciated the opportunity to learn in a different environment, interact with professional presentations, and experience the kind of cultural engagement that enriches education and builds well-rounded individuals.
We invite parents to ask their children about their favorite artworks or moments from the visit—you may be surprised by the depth of their reflections and the connections they made!
Our Gratitude
We extend our sincere appreciation to Ecobank Nigeria for their exceptional hospitality, meticulous organization, and unwavering commitment to nurturing the next generation. Partnerships like these demonstrate the vital role that corporate organizations can play in supporting holistic education and youth development.
Our Commitment to Parents
At Potasfield Schools, we remain steadfast in our commitment to providing learning experiences that nurture academic excellence, creativity, and real-world exposure—always with the safety, well-being, and growth of our pupils and students as our highest priority.
Education extends far beyond textbooks and examinations. Through carefully selected opportunities like this museum visit, we prepare our learners not just for exams but for life—equipping them with cultural awareness, critical thinking skills, and the confidence to engage with the world around them.
We look forward to more enriching partnerships and opportunities that continue to expand learning horizons and prepare our students for bright, successful futures.
